I have been raised in a Christian home, and my faith has come to mean a lot to me over the years. The knowledge that Christ died for me gives me great strength and a reason to live. In Paul's letter to the Romans he wrote: "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Rom 10:9 NIV) It is of great comfort for me to know that I need not do great deeds to be saved, but simply believe.
